Miss Tash – Centre Coordinator

I’ve called the Pilbara home for several years and couldn’t imagine raising my family anywhere else. My husband and I have two daughters, and when we’re not at Karratha Community House, we’re usually out exploring, camping, at the beach or chasing our next family adventure.
 

Before joining the team, I was one of the many parents who enjoyed everything Karratha Community House has to offer. That experience gave me a real appreciation for the sense of community this place creates, and I’m proud to now be part of the team.

I love connecting with people and helping create a space where families feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door. I can’t wait to meet you and your little ones!

Miss Teagan – Program Supervisor

I have been in Karratha since the start of 2010 and am a mum of two young children. I’m a diploma qualified educator with over 12 years of experience in early childhood education. I find working with children incredibly rewarding and love seeing them learn new things and grow.
 
I first connected with Karratha Community House through the Coffee & Craft program while on maternity leave, where I found a supportive space to connect with other mums and saw firsthand the genuine care the team showed my children. It didn’t take long at all before I expressed my interest to join the team! 
 

Miss Jamila – Program Facilitator

I’ve been part of KCH since 2014, and it’s been so special to experience the positive impact it has on families and the community. 

As a mum of two, I love supporting young children as they build confidence, learn through play and connect with others.

I enjoy cooking, reading and travelling with my family, and I look forward to welcoming you to KCH!

Miss Maria – Program Facilitator

I have lived in Karratha since 2015 and am originally from Japan.

I have a passion for art and creativity and am a big advocate for mental health. I began by attending the casual playgroups and then enrolling my children to the many amazing programs Karratha Community House has on offer. 

I feel so lucky to now be leading the programs and working alongside the facilitators my children grew to love. 

Miss Tomi – Program Facilitator

Originally from Japan, I have proudly called Karratha home for the past 15 years.

I am an active person and a dedicated team player—passionate about volleyball, soccer, and constantly challenging myself to learn new skills. I love sharing my knowledge and growing alongside those around me.

My journey with Karratha Community House began as a parent; both of my children attended programs here and loved them. Now, I am thrilled to be part of the KCH staff, where I combine professional excellence with a warm, community-focused heart. I am truly thriving in this role and look forward to supporting our local families!

Miss Bev – Program Facilitator

I’ve been living in Karratha for the past three years—my second time calling this wonderful community home. Originally from Bunbury, I spent time in Broome with my granddaughters before we all made the move back to Karratha together.

I love working with children and building genuine, caring relationships. During our holiday programs, my granddaughters often come along to help, which makes it extra special as we create connections both inside and outside of the program environment.

Miss Teale – Program Facilitator

I have recently moved to Karratha from Kununurra with my family. My three kids and new puppy are thoroughly enjoying life by the beach so far.

 
I am a qualified early childhood teacher who has a passion for play-based learning and fostering a child centered approach to education. 
 
I look forward to working with the team at KCH to facilitate enjoyable and engaging programs for the children of Karratha. 

Miss Kayleigh – Program Facilitator

I’ve been living in Karratha for the past three years and have over five years of experience working in childcare. I’m passionate about creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel supported and valued.

I love bringing kindness into each day and creating fun, engaging experiences that help children learn, grow, and feel happy.

Miss Ashley – Program Facilitator

I have lived in Karratha for 16 years and call it home. I’m a mother to three beautiful children who are my absolute world. I have been working in early childhood education since graduating high school and am passionate about supporting and nurturing young minds in a safe, caring environment.

Miss Lucynda – Program Facilitator

Originally from the UK, I have been living in Karratha for the past eight months. I am a mother of two children and I am deeply passionate about creating environments where children feel happy, engaged, and able to have fun.

I have a background as a Physical Education teacher, with experience working with students from kindergarten through to high school. I am particularly passionate about movement and physical activity, and I enjoy supporting children in building confidence while developing a lifelong enjoyment of being active.

Miss Jess – Administration Officer

Since moving to Karratha in 2016, my family has been part of the KCH community. All three of my children participated in many programs over the years, and seeing their growth left a lasting impression.

For me, being part of the KCH team is a meaningful way to give back to the community that supported us.
